• Allocating time for understanding the requests of suppliers and supporting supplier when it is justified
• Targeting long-term and high-volume contracts
• Providing timely accurate information on future plans and budgets to the suppliers expected to be long-term partners
• Sharing information with Managers / Directors and offering alternative solutions.
• Preference given to suppliers with the following characteristics:
• Providing a timely response to purchasing requirements
• Making no changes to the purchasing tolerance limits when proposing any price and quality changes
• Inviting Purchasing to their facility / office, to discuss any problems, and to share solutions and future opportunities
