OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY
Trakya Döküm undertakes, in every stages of its activities, to protect the health and safety of all individuals under its roof to prevent against all possible unfavourable situations, injuries and health deteriorations.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY POLICY
Our company who acts with principle of “PEOPLE FIRST” in every stage of its processes has established the following policies as foundation of its management.
01 - COMPLIENCE WITH LAWS AND OTHER LIABILITIES
We fulfil requirements of laws, legislations and regulations, ILO agreements, BM agreements and voluntarily meet requirements of SA 8000 Standard.
02 - PREVENTION OF EMPLOYMENT BY FORCE
We do not employ workers bound by contract or by force against their will.
03 - PREVENTION OF EMPLOYMENT OF CHILDREN WORKERS
We comply with principle of not employing children and young workers. We carry out target studies to promote children to go to school and receive education.
04 - DISCIPLINE / PREVENTION OF ILL TREATMENT AND ABUSE
We respect personality and dignity of employees. We do not allow verbal, physical or physiological abuse or repression. We apply labour law no 4857 and matters are taken to our discipline committee to be handled within framework of collective bargaining agreement.
05 - DEFINING WORKING HOURS
We abide by laws, legislations and regulations in force when defining working hours
06 - FEES AND REMUNERATIONS
We make remuneration payments required by law and collective bargaining agreements and provide social helps defined in collective bargaining agreements.
07- PREVENTION OF DISCRIMINATION
We employ people not by discriminating by race, language, ethnic background, political view, colour, pregnancy, age, marital status and sex but based on their skills. Also, we apply fees, social helps and promotions without any discrimination.
08 - OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY (OHS)
We take as a base “proactive approach” based on risk analysis. We apply a working system that gives particular importance to enabling our employees to participate in OHS applications and prioritize employee’s general health.
09 - RIGHT OF ORGANIZATION AND COLLECTIVE BARGANING
We respect workers’ right to collective bargaining
10 - PREVENTION OF ENVIROMENTAL POLLUTION
We apply environmental regulations in force. Based on size of environment and effect assessment we try to prevent environmental pollution and to reduce pollution in its source. We apply ISO-14001 Environmental Management System.
11- WORKING WITH SUPPLIERS
We target to assess “social responsibility” activities of our suppliers, to monitor results of these assessment by action plans and to gradually increase their responsibility levels.
To increase “social responsibility” consciousness of the organization and to create awareness we use communication tools and apply training programs.
We plan target studies and projects for continuous improvement of social responsibility system.
SA 8000 Management System is applied in integration with other management systems (ISO-14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO-9001 etc.).
SA 8000 Management System policies are under the commitment of the Management.
